What each plan includes, what happens when you go over, and how to change plan.

sonex is priced by tracked events per month. An event is a pageview or a custom event. Your plan sets how many are included, how many websites and seats you get, and how long data is kept.

Going over your event quota
This is the part worth reading before you need it, because the two cases are genuinely different:
- On Free, extra events are dropped. Past 2k in a calendar month, ingestion stops accepting events until the month rolls over. Nothing is billed and nothing is recovered; those visits are simply not counted.
- On a paid plan, nothing is ever dropped. Events keep recording and the overage is metered and billed per event at the rate above.
The app warns you before either happens: a usage banner appears at 80% of your included events, and the Billing panel shows a meter of events used against included.
Feature limits
Funnel and Retention reports need Pro or higher. They appear in the Reports rail with a lock and explain the upgrade in place. Everything else, including Realtime, Goals, Journey, Attribution, UTM and Performance, is on every plan including Free.
Hitting your website limit means the add-website dialog tells you so rather than failing after you have typed everything in.
Changing plan
Open the settings dialog from your avatar in the dock and go to Billing. From there you can upgrade to Pro or Business, which sends you to checkout, or open the customer portal to change payment details, download invoices, or cancel.
Cancelling leaves you on Free at the end of the paid period. Your data stays, subject to Free’s retention window.
Retention
Raw analytics rows older than your plan’s window (6 months on Free, 1 year on Pro, 5 years on Business) are deleted by a purge job. Retention is a property of the plan, not of a website, so upgrading widens the window going forward. It does not bring back what has already aged out.
