Realtime
Who is on your site right now, refreshing on its own.
All pages
Realtime is the page you open when you just shipped something, just posted something, or just want to know the tracker works.
It refreshes itself every ten seconds. There is no button to press.
What it shows
- Active now, views, events and countries across the live window.
- A live traffic chart of views and visitors by minute, with the x axis in clock time.
- Pages, referrers and countries, ranked, so you can see where the current wave is coming from.
- A live events feed: the most recent events with a timestamp, newest first.
Reading it honestly
Realtime covers the last few minutes, not “today”. An empty Realtime on a low-traffic site is a correct answer, not a broken page. For “did anyone come today”, use Overview with the Today preset.
The live events feed is the fastest way to confirm a custom event fires: trigger it on your site, then watch it appear here by name within seconds. That beats waiting for it to show up in aggregate on Events.
Next: Sessions.
