Websites and teams
Add sites, switch between them, bring in teammates, and manage the workspace.

Websites
Add a website from the switcher in the dock at the bottom of the app. You need a name and a domain; you get a website id and a snippet.
Switching sites is the same control. sonex remembers the site you were last on and opens there next time.
Website settings
Each site has its own Settings page, reachable from the dock:
- Installation. The snippet, ready to copy.
- General. Rename the site any time. The domain is read-only: it is fixed at creation and cannot be edited afterwards. Wrong domain means delete and re-add.
- Revenue. Connect Stripe or Polar. See Revenue.
- Danger zone. Delete the website.
How many sites you can have depends on your plan. See Billing and plans.
Teams
A workspace owns your websites and your plan. Everything about it lives in the Teams panel of the settings dialog (open it from your avatar in the dock).
Roles
| Role | Can do |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including deleting the workspace |
| Admin | Manage websites and members |
| Member | View only |
Member is a read-only role. Give it to anyone who needs the numbers but should not be able to change or delete anything, which is most people.
Inviting someone
Invites are a single access code that anyone can redeem, so it is short-lived by design rather than a permanent workspace password.
- Open the settings dialog from your avatar in the dock and go to Teams.
- Under Invite by access code, pick a lifetime: 10 minutes, 1 hour, 24 hours, or 7 days.
- Press Generate code. The code appears with a copy button and a countdown of exactly how long it has left.
- Send it to the person you are inviting. They paste it during their own onboarding, or from the Teams panel if they already have an account, and land in your workspace with your websites and your plan.
Pick the shortest lifetime that fits how you are sending it. 10 minutes is right for reading it out loud; 7 days is for someone who will get to it next week.
Managing a live code
While a code is valid the panel shows it, its remaining time, and two controls:
- Regenerate issues a new code with the lifetime currently selected. The old code stops working immediately, so this is also how you shorten or extend a code you have already sent.
- Revoke ends the current code with nothing to replace it. Use it the moment a code has gone somewhere you did not intend.
When a code expires or is revoked, the panel says so and falls back to the generate control. There is no way to see a past code again, and nobody who already joined is affected: revoking a code closes the door, it does not remove anyone who came through it. To remove someone, use the member controls below.
Removing someone
Owners and admins see a remove control on each member row. You cannot remove yourself this way, and you cannot remove the owner.
To leave a workspace yourself, use Leave workspace. You lose access to its websites and can rejoin later with the access code.
Delete workspace is owner-only and removes the workspace for every member at once.
Seats are capped by plan: 1 on Free (just you), 10 on Pro, unlimited on Business. The Teams panel shows your seats in use against the cap. Sharing an access code from a Free workspace will not let anyone in, because there is no second seat to give them.
